In-play price movers and the bid-ask spread

What moves in-play cricket prices: WICKETS crash the batting side's price hardest; boundaries push it up; and quiet, dry overs slowly SINK the batting side too, because the required rate climbs while resources stay flat — a scoreless over is bad news for the chasing team, not neutral. The bid-ask spread is the gap between the best buy (ask) and best sell (bid) price on the book — a definitional fact needing no live data: tighter spread = more liquid market; crossing it immediately costs you the spread.
