What is a stumps in cricket?

Baseball translation: the three sticks behind the batter; as a status, 'game suspended till tomorrow'

Two meanings: the three wooden sticks the bowler is aiming at, and — as a match status — the end of a day's play in a multi-day Test. Stumps means play is paused overnight, not finished and not live.
