The main ways a batter gets out

Bowled (ball hits the stumps), caught (any hit caught on the fly — no foul territory), LBW (leg blocks a ball that would hit the stumps), run out (stumps broken mid-run), stumped (keeper breaks the stumps when the batter leaves the crease). Ten outs end an innings — each wicket is a big win-probability event.
